About the Author
Steven W. Hook is professor and former chair of political science at Kent State University. He has authored and edited numerous books, including U.S. Foreign Policy Today: American Renewal? (2012, with James M. Scott), Routledge Handbook of American Foreign Policy (2012, with Christopher Jones), Democratic Peace in Theory and Practice (2010), Comparative Foreign Policy (2002), and National Interest and Foreign Aid (1995). His journal articles have appeared in leading journals, including World Politics, International Studies Quarterly, Foreign Policy Analysis. Professor Hook is a past president of the Foreign Policy Analysis sections of the American Political Science Association and the International Studies Association.

Unmanageable

If you are not in a time crunch, I recommend getting the physical copy of this book. The Kindle version only saves you six dollars, but creates a pretty massive headache. For some reason, though the book is over 500 pages (physical), Kindle determined that this book did not need a Table of Contents. Also, if you were to search "10," Chapter 10 would likely not show up in the search window. All of that sort of conspires to make the text unmanageable. Chances are, you don't have the option to purchase this book--that its been dictated to you, but you can spare yourself the grief and just get the paper copy.

Do not get the Kindle version...

Kindle version is horrible. Page numbers are not available which makes course work a major headache. Should have purchased the physical copy.....
