Una guía práctica para el entrenamiento

Es un libro útil para programar la temporada en Mountain Bike, especialmente para los que se inician en el mundo de las pedaladas. Proporciona una guía práctica para planificar el entrenamiento. Después de leerlo queda clara la importancia de un entrenamiento progresivo, con una primera parte de acondicionamiento general (normalmente tres meses) y otra de entrenamiento específico (dos meses). Los casos proporcionan motivación y justifican el entrenamiento basado en el pulsómetro, para controlar la frecuencia cardiaca, y en consecuencia en la cadencia de pedaladas. También insiste en la importancia de las fases de recuperación y descanso, así como en la necesidad de individualizar el entrenamiento.

Está escrito de forma amena e interesante. Proporciona muchos ejemplos y casos de planificación. De hecho, la respuesta a preguntas y dudas que habitualmente recibe el autor resultan de lo más interesante y útil para quien esté planificando su temporada ciclista. Ilustra muy bien los errores más habituales en la preparación física y el entrenamiento. Es una pena que abunden las erratas, los errores gramaticales e incluso alguna falta ortográfica. La edición tendría que haber sido más cuidada.

Muy buen libro. Aunque por mi trabajo me es difícil seguir el plan descrito en el libro he tratado de hacerlo lo más cercano posible. Hace tres días participé en una prueba de 77 km con todo tipo de terreno (MTB) y mi rendimiento fue muy muy superior al que tuve en una prueba similar el año pasado.

Well done chess book

Really good chess book. One of the challenges I have found with other chess books is that there are not enough diagrams and there are so many variations that seem to take the reader down rabbit holes, that it is difficult to find your way back to the point of the lesson. Not so with this book. There are ample diagrams and the variations are keep to the point where they still illustrate the point, but allow the reader to get back on track with the example. The physical book is also very nice. The paper is high quality and very white - it has a nice feel and doesn't allow for bleed through when using a highlighter. I recommend this book

Don't advance too far without reading this book

Don't advance too far before reading this book. The reason I say this is that although this book is not for the beginner, it should be read before your chess thinking is developed much further than that of a beginner. I've been playing chess for 40 years and if I had read this on the road to becoming an intermediate player I would be a lot stronger today. There are a lot of beginner books for rules, tactics, basic strategy, but I haven't found nearly as many to properly address what happens at the next stage of a players development. This book succeeds on several levels. Having grown up without a teacher, 'My System' straightened out a lot of wrong thinking that I had developed in my game. I can now see more possibilities in a position. Also it is an excellent book on positional play that shows that you never have to lack for a plan because there is nearly always some vital improvement that you can make to a position. The algebraic '21st Century' keeps this important book alive, and there are some updates to the language to make the early 1900's, European Nimzovitch with his colorful descriptions a little easier to understand.

As a reference work on sleep apnea and cardiovascular and metabolic disease, Dr. Lurie and the editors at Karger have put together an excellent volume. The extensive bibliography supports the incontrovertible association between OSA and these life-threatening conditions. Though Dr. Lurie does pose a number of questions throughout the book, at hopefully will stimulate further research.

Love Forced Feminisation? Buy this book!!

I read this book a long time ago and it is still gripping even today. I just can't put the book down. I just want to know what happens next to Fred and where it will lead (even though i've read it before; that was a long time ago). For anyone who loves Forced Feminization and forceful characters dominating the mind and body of youth then this is a story to read. I would recommend the sequels as well as they continue on the them of how Fred developes; scutpted in a way, bent by the will of those around them into what they want him to be.

I'm already half-way through book two, totally hooked on what tests, trials and torments await poor Fred and eagely waiting to see him develope into the blossoming creature he will eventually become. Trying to find a word that describes how I feel about reading the book I would say "Intoxicated" ; I can't put it down, I want to continue reading, but the clock is saying 2am and I have to get up at 7am for work. And I'm still saying "just one more page!!".

I've deliberately been vague, as I don't want to spoil anything, so writing this review was hard. I would like to make a quick note about the seller of this product. Very helpful. Had a few issues with purchasing that needed resolving. I was expecting a reply to my first query within a week; I got it next morning. Spent the weekend back and forth with replies resolving each issue quickly and completely. It was very nice speaking with Carole and I wish her all the best in the future. 11/10 for customer service.

And please buy this book. If not, the complete series. It really is one of the better series of books to read on forced feminisation. More a mind domination than a physical / blackmail one which makes it even better.
